Naa Akwetey is an MIT-trained Economist, Strategy & Business Consultant, Mentor and Operational Excellence enthusiast, with cross-cultural academic and professional experiences from Ghana, the United Kingdom and the USA.
Naa holds two degrees – a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Management Science (Finance concentration) — from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Naa also holds a Master of Science Degree in Risk and Stochastics from the London School of Economics (LSE) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1 certification.
Naa currently works as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at mPharma, a multiple award winning, technology-driven healthcare company headquartered in Ghana and operational in Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Rwanda, Ethiopia Togo and Benin. She is responsible for strategy and operational efficiency across the group. She is responsible for the company’s portfolio of social-impact and patient-centered solutions, and oversees the design and implementation of Patient Support Programs with big Pharma such as Pfizer, Sanofi and Roche across 4 countries. She joined the company as the Head of Finance and was promoted within two years to the role of SVP, Strategy & Business Development before being promoted to her current role. Prior to joining mPharma she worked as an Economist with KPMG UK’s Transfer Pricing Team.
Naa is the CEO of Amani Events Limited, a premium events consulting and coordinating company that is centered on excellence. As a Christian and kingdom builder, she prioritises using her gifts and talents to consult on and curate Christian events and experiences. She serves in her local churches in many capacities with a special gift for the Administrative and Helps (Hospitality) ministries, and has led the Hospitality Department for her church in the UK and USA. She has also served on the leadership team for large-scale events such as the UK Global Prayer Summit for Action Chapel International and the maiden edition of the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD) Prayer Conference in Ghana for Streams of Joy International. She was the personal assistant to Senior Bishop Dick Essandoh, Bishop of UK & Europe (ACi) for several years.
Naa enjoys partnering with faith-based institutions to drive operational excellence, impact and growth through in-person training sessions, dubbed “The Kingdom Excellence Masterclass”.
